The procedure is to disable the SIR system, remove the steering column, remove the upper intermediate shaft to the steering column retaining bolt and remove the upper intermediate shaft.
Q: What should you first install if the sensor is not present?
A:
You should first install the sensor retainer and install the steering shaft seal.
Q: What is the removal procedure for the steering wheel?
A:
The procedure is to disable the SIR system, remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module, disconnect the steering column electrical connector, remove the steering wheel retaining nut, install J 42578 and J 1859-A and remove the steering wheel.
