Q: What is the removal procedure for the steering wheel position sensor or steering shaft lower bearing?
A:
The procedure is to disable the SIR system and remove the steering column, the turn signal switch housing, the tilt spring, 2 pivot pins, and the boot seal. Then you can remove the steering shaft seal and the sensor retainer if the sensor is not present or remove the sensor locator and the sensor assembly if the sensor is present.
