Q: What is the removal procedure for the power steering pump (4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L)?
A:
You need to remove the power steering pulley, raise the vehicle, the oil pan skid plate bolts and the oil pan skid plate, place a drain pan under the vehicle, remove the power steering pressure hose, lower the vehicle, and remove the clamps retaining the power steering return hoses to the power steering pump and remove the hoses, and the lower intermediate shaft, the bolt retaining the rear bracket, the bolts, the pump, and the bracket.
