2004 Cadillac Escalade EXT Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor

You need to remove the passenger seat from the vehicle, pull the carpet back to gain access to the sensor, remove the nuts retaining the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer to the vehicle, disconnect the electrical connector from the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer, and remove the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer from the vehicle.

The recommended bolt torque is 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).

The recommended bolt torque is 10 Nm (89inch lbs.).

You need to remove the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer, disconnect the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor electrical connector, reposition the carpet to access the lower nut, and remove the accelerator pedal nuts and the accelerator pedal assembly.

Handle the electronic throttle control components carefully. Use cleanliness to prevent damage. Do not drop the electronic throttle control components. Do not roughly handle the electronic throttle control components. Do not immerse the electronic throttle control components in cleaning solvents of any type.
