Q: What should be noticed when installing the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) (W/JL4)?
A:
You should not reuse the old mounting screws and always install new mounting screws with the new EBCM, and should not use RTV or any other type of sealant on the EBCM gasket or mating surfaces.

Q: What is the procedure for inspecting/replacing the Yaw Rate Sensor/Lateral Accelerometer and reprogramming Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM))?
A:
You need to inspect the part number, remove the passenger seat, pull the carpet back, inspect the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer part number, remove the nuts, disconnect the electrical connector, remove the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer, install the new yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer and the nuts retaining the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer, perform the YAW rate reference table reset procedure, connect the electrical connector, install the carpet and the passenger seat, and reprogram the EBCM.

Q: What should we do for a Service Stabilitrak(R) Message or Intermittent Stabilitrak(R) Activation During Normal Driving, Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) during normal driving?
A:
You should remove the SWPS connector located at the base of the STRG column, inspect the SWPS connector terminals for bent or lose terminals, and the SWPS terminals for bent or lose terminals. If either the SWPS terminals or SWPS connector terminals are bent or loose, repair the terminals. You should reprogram the VSES EBCM.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) (W/JL4)?
A:
You need to disconnect the negative battery cable, raise and suitably support the vehicle, wash all contaminants from around the EHCU, remove the mounting screws from the EBCM from the BPMV and the vehicle, and clean the BPMV to EBCM mounting surfaces.

A:
You need to disconnect the negative battery cable, raise and support the vehicle, wash all contaminants, and disconnect the electrical connectors from the EBCM. You also need to loosen or remove 3 bolts securing the EHCU mounting bracket to the frame rail, move the EHCU down enough to remove the four mounting screws, remove the EBCM from the BPMV, and clean the BPMV to EBCM mounting surfaces.
