A:
The proper way is to position the throttle body O-ring seals to the grooves in the throttle body, install the vacuum fitting O-rings to the vacuum fittings, install the throttle body assembly mounting bolts, and then fill the cooling system.

A:
The procedure is to drain the cooling system, disconnect the throttle body electrical connector from the throttle body, remove the throttle body assembly mounting bolts, remove the throttle body assembly, remove the throttle body O-ring seals and the vacuum fitting O-ring seals.

02/11/2022Q: What is the removal procedure for the throttle body?
A:
The procedure is to disconnect the air intake ducts from the throttle body, inspect the throttle body bore and the throttle valve plate for any deposits, and then clean the throttle body bore and the throttle valve plate by using a clean shop towel with Top Engine Cleaner, GM P/N 1052626 (Canadian P/N 993026) or AC-Delco Carburetor Tune-Up Conditioner, P/N X66-P, or an equivalent product.
