2004 Buick Rendezvous Fuel Pressure Regulator

You should remember that do not press on the fuel pressure regulator valve when installing the fuel injector rail assembly.

The recommended torque is 10 Nm (89 lb in).

The tools required include J 34730-1A Fuel Pressure Gage, and J 34730-262 Fuel Pressure Gage Fitting.

You need to disconnect the negative battery terminal, install the J 34730-262 adaptor to the fuel pressure connection, connect the J 34730-1A to the fuel pressure connection, install the bleed hose into an approved container, and open the valve to bleed the system pressure, then drain any fuel remaining in the fuel pressure gauge into an approved container, next remove the J 34730-1A and install the fuel pressure port cap.

You can relieve the fuel system pressure, disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line, remove the fuel pressure regulator retaining screw, catch any spilled fuel, lift and twist the fuel pressure regulator to remove the fuel pressure regulator from the fuel rail, then remove the retainer and spacer bracket from the rail and discard, remove the fuel pressure regulator from the engine fuel return pipe and remove the fuel pressure regulator inlet o-ring and discard.
