You should assemble the sun gear thrust bearing, the Differential carrier sun gear, the park gear, the internal gear thrust bearing, and the sun gear shaft into the differential carrier, then install the differential carrier into the case and install the case extension housing.

You should notice that when removing the rear springs, do not use a twin-post-type hoist. The swing arch tendency of the rear axle assembly when certain fasteners are removed may cause it to slip from the hoist which may cause personal injury.

You need to raise and support the vehicle, reference mark the propeller shaft at the transfer case flange, then remove the propeller shaft-to-transfer case flange bolts, reference mark the propeller shaft at the torque tube flange, remove the propeller shaft-to-torque tube flange bolts, then push the propeller shaft toward the rear of the vehicle, and remove the propeller shaft.
