2004 Buick Rendezvous Automatic Transmission Shifter Cable

The recommended torque is 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

You need to remove the throttle body air inlet duct, remove the retaining clip from the automatic transaxle range selector cable, remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable from the cable lever, depress the cable retainers, then remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable from the automatic transaxle range selector cable bracket, remove the knee bolster, remove the console trim plate and the transaxle shift cable if the vehicle is equipped with a console shift, remove the retaining clip, the automatic transaxle range selector cable, and the automatic transaxle range selector cable if the vehicle is equipped with a column shift, then remove the automatic transaxle range selector cable through the cowl.

You need to install the automatic transaxle range selector cable bracket, install the automatic transaxle range selector cable bracket bolts, install the automatic transaxle range selector cable to the cable lever and the bracket, then adjust the automatic transaxle range selector cable, and install the throttle body air inlet duct.

You should adjust the automatic transaxle range selector cable while the transaxle and the gear selector are in the Neutral position only.
