You can install the pressure regulator valve, the pressure regulator isolator spring, and the reverse boost valve, compress the reverse boost valve sleeve into the bore of the oil pump to expose the retaining ring slot, install the reverse boost valve retaining ring, then slowly release the tension on the reverse boost valve sleeve, and the transmission filter.

You can remove the transmission filter, compress the reverse boost valve sleeve into the bore of the oil pump to release the tension on the reverse boost valve retaining ring, remove the reverse boost valve retaining ring, then slowly release the tension on the reverse boost valve sleeve, the reverse boost valve sleeve and the reverse boost valve, the pressure regulator isolator spring and the pressure regulator valve.

You can install the pressure regulator valve using J 36850, the preassembled parts into the pump bore, and the reverse boost valve bushing retainer ring while holding the reverse boost valve bushing in place. Ensure the retainer ring is in the groove, and the transmission filter, and fill the transmission to the proper level with Dexron-111 transmission fluid.

You can raise and suitably support the vehicle, remove the transmission filter, the reverse boost valve bushing retainer ring, the reverse boost valve bushing, the reverse boost valve, the pressure regulator spring retainer, the pressure regulator spring, the pressure regulator valve, and the reverse boost valve hushing.
