FAQ for Ignition Control Module Repair

Q: How do you remove the ignition control module (ICM)?
A:
You can disconnect all the electrical connectors at the ICM, note the position of the spark plug wires for installation and disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition coils, remove the screws securing the coil assemblies to the ICM, disconnect the coils from the ICM, remove the fasteners securing the ignition control module assembly to the engine, then remove the ICM from the bracket.

The recommended torque is 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).
