The proper way is to raise and support the vehicle, remove the right front tire and wheel assembly, remove the right front wheel drive shaft, then sign the J 2619-01 with the J 29794 and the J 23129 remove the axle shaft oil seal from the transfer case.

You will need to carefully guide the axle shaft past the axle shaft oil seal and do not allow the shaft splines to contact any portion of the sealing surface or damage to the oil seal can occur.
