Q: How to remove the accelerator controls cable?
A:
You need to remove the left closeout/insulator panel, remove the accelerator control cable from the accelerator pedal lever, next squeeze the accelerator cable cover tangs and push the accelerator cable through the bulkhead, then remove the accelerator control cable from the retaining clip and the right slot on top of washer bottle, remove the accelerator cable from the throttle body lever and the accelerator control cable bracket.

Q: How to remove the accelerator controls cable bracket?
A:
You need to remove the fuel injector sight shield, rotate the throttle lever, disconnect the cruise control cable and the accelerator cable from the bracket, remove the wiring harness clip from the bracket if necessary (VIN K only), then remove the two bolts from the bracket.

Q: How to remove the idle air control (IAC) valve?
A:
You need to remove the fuel injector sight shield, the idle air control valve electrical connector from the idle air control valve, remove the two idle air control valve attaching screws, and the idle air control valve from the throttle body, then remove the idle air control valve O-ring, inspect the idle air control valve O-ring for cracks or damage. Replace the idle air control valve O-ring if necessary.
