If the harness is taped, remove the tape. To avoid wiring insulation damage, use a sewing ripper to cut open the harness. If the harness has a black plastic conduit, pull out the diode.

01/11/2022Q: What is the proper way to install the mass air flow (MAF) sensor?
A:
You should install the MAF sensor to the throttle body, install the screws holding the MAF sensor to the throttle body, connect the MAF sensor electrical connector to the MAF sensor, and install the fuel injection sight shield.

A:
You need to turn OFF the ignition, remove the fuel injection sight shield, disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector from the MAF sensor, remove the screws that hold the MAF sensor to the throttle body, then remove the MAF sensor from the throttle body.
