The proper way is to recover the refrigerant, remove the discharge hose mounting bolt from the A/C compressor, disconnect the discharge hose from the A/C compressor, remove the upper radiator baffle and the discharge hose nut, disconnect the discharge hose from the condenser and the A/C recirculation switch from the A/C compressor hose, and remove the discharge hose from the vehicle.
