You need to drain the engine coolant, recover the refrigerant from the A/C system, the coolant recovery reservoir or the surge tank, the battery, the A/C accumulator, the heater hoses, and the screws, open the heater core access door to cut the heater core access door, cut the marked section of the heater core access door, and remove the retainers and the heater core.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the heater case (C69)?
A:
You need to drain the engine coolant, recover the refrigerant, remove the left rear quarter trim panel and left rear corner garnish molding, disconnect the heater air outlet ducts and the electrical connectors, raise and support the vehicle, remove the heater and A/C line cover and the one retaining nut to remove the auxiliary evaporator underbody rear tube assembly, disconnect the heater lines, remove the retaining nuts and the safety stands, lower the vehicle, and remove the auxiliary heater.
