FAQ for Coil Springs Repair

Q: What is the removal procedure for the front coil springs?
A:
You need to raise the vehicle on a hoist, support the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel assembly, the stabilizer shaft link pins, and the shock absorber, cradle the lower control arm at the control arm bushings, raise the jack to relieve tension on the lower control arm pivot bolts, remove the lower control arm pivot bolts and nuts, lower the control arm to remove the coil spring, and remove the coil spring and the insulator.
