Q: How to remove the engine front cover?
A:
You need to drain the engine cooling system and the engine oil, remove the crankshaft balancer, the drive belt tensioner, and remove the power steering pump with lines, then disconnect the thermostat bypass pipe from the engine front cover, disconnect the radiator outlet hose from the front cover, remove the coolant pump pulley, remove the upper crankshaft position sensor wiring harness bracket from the engine front cover, and remove the lower crankshaft position sensor wiring harness bracket, remove the engine front cover bolts, the engine front cover, the engine front cover gasket. Then inspect the engine front cover for damage to the engine front cover, crankshaft front oil seal, or the gasket sealing surface, remove the drive belt shield, remove the crankshaft position sensor from the engine front cover, and remove the coolant pump from the engine front cover.
