Q: What is the removal procedure for the manual steering gear?
A:
You need to pull back the forward section of the driver's side floor carpet, remove the steering shaft coupling cover, loosen the bolt that retains the upper steering shaft coupling, remove the bolt that retains the lower steering shaft coupling, separate the shaft, raise and support the vehicle, remove the front tire and wheel assemblies, the cotter pin and the castle nut, separate the outer tie rods from the steering knuckles, remove the steering gear from the bulkhead, and the steering gear from the vehicle.
