You need to remove the 3 upper strut support nuts from the strut tower, raise and support the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel assembly, support the control arm, and remove the bolt and the wheel speed sensor harness from the strut if the vehicle has ABS, remove the E-ring that secures the brake hose to the strut bracket, the brake hose from the strut support, the strut-to-knuckle nuts and the bolts from the strut assembly, and the strut assembly.

Q: How to compress the strut spring?
A:
You need to compress the strut spring by turning the compressor forcing screw and guide the damper shaft through the upper strut assembly with J 34013-96, and compress the strut spring until approximately 25 mm (1 inch) of the damper shaft is visible above the upper strut assembly.
