Q: What is the removal procedure for the radiator?
A:
You need to disconnect the negative battery cable, drain the engine cooling system, release the hose clamp to remove the upper (inlet) hose, raise and properly support the vehicle, remove the lower (outlet) hose, lower the vehicle, release the hose clamp to remove the overflow hose, remove the radiator cooling fan electrical connector, the transaxle cooler hoses, the two upper radiator/fan mounting bolts, the fan, and the radiator and one lower mounting bolt to remove the fan.

The recommended torque is 10 Nm (89-inch lbs.).

Q: How to install the water pump?
A:
You need to install the new gasket to the engine block and the Water Pump, secure the water pump with mounting nuts and bolts, install new rubber seals to the water pump, the upper generator adjusting bracket to the water pump, the oil level indicator (dipstick) guide tube, the timing belt, and the water pump pulley, finger-tighten the four bolts, install the crankshaft pulley and the water pump/generator drive belt to the crankshaft, water pump, and generator pulleys.
Q: How to install the outlet radiator hose?
A:
You need to connect the lower Radiator Hose to the radiator, install the coolant pump inlet pipe, secure the lower radiator hose and the coolant pump inlet pipe with the hose clamps, lower the vehicle and refill the engine cooling system.
Q: How to install the thermostat?
A:
You need to install the Thermostat and the new gasket to the housing and the water outlet to the housing, secure the hose with a hose clamp for a 1.3L engine, secure the water outlet to the housing with two retaining bolts, install the upper radiator hose to the thermostat cap, secure the hose with a hose clamp for a 1.0L engine, and refill the engine cooling system.
