2001 Chevrolet Metro Idle Control Motor

You need to drain the engine coolant, remove the bolt and the air inlet duct resonator from the intake plenum, disconnect the breather hose from the valve cover and the air inlet duct from the Throttle Body, rotate the throttle lever to the wide open throttle position, remove the accelerator cable end from the slot, disconnect the IAC valve electrical connector and the TP sensor electrical connector, disconnect the 2 coolant hoses from the IAC valve coolant fittings, remove the 2 nuts and the 2 bolts that attach the throttle body to the intake plenum, and the throttle body and the gasket.

You need to remove the bolt from the bracket that retains the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor, lift the MAP Sensor from the intake plenum, disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector, and remove the MAP sensor from the MAP sensor bracket.

You need to relieve the fuel pressure, disconnect the negative battery cable, drain the engine coolant, remove the air cleaner assembly, disconnect the ground wires from the Intake Manifold, the fuel injector connectors, the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor connector, the throttle Position (TP) Sensor, the Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve and the EVAP Canister Purge Valve, disconnect the wiring harness from the retaining clamps, remove the fuel return and the fuel feed hoses, the coolant hoses, the canister purge hose, the brake booster hose, the accelerator cable, the seven nuts and three bolts, the intake manifold with the throttle body and the wire clamps, and the intake manifold gasket.
