Next, you need to remove the oil filter, the bolts, the crankcase position sensor, the starter, the transmission cover, the inner axle shaft, and the front differential carrier upper and lower mounting nuts and bolts. Then you can lower the front differential carrier assembly, and remove the access plugs for the oil pan rear nuts. After removing the transmission to oil pan bolts and the oil pan from the engine, you need to clean all sealing surfaces on the engine and the oil pan.

You need to remove the engine cover, the oil level indicator, the bolt holding the oil level indicator tube, and the upper half of the oil level indicator tube. Then you can clean the old sealer from the tubes, remove the oil level indicator tube bolt and the oil level indicator tube, and clean the old sealer from the oil level indicator tube and the engine block.
