After raising the vehicle, you need to remove the tire and wheel assembly. Then you need to remove the brake drum, the brake shoe return springs, the brake shoe guide, the hold-down springs, the hold-down pins, the actuator lever and the actuator lever pivot, and the lever return spring. Then you can remove the park brake strut, the strut spring, the adjusting screw assembly, and the adjusting screw spring. After that, you need to inspect all remaining parts for discoloration.

You need to install the actuator lever and the lever pivot. Then you can install the actuator lever return spring, the hold-down pins, the hold-down springs, the brake shoe guide, the brake shoe return springs, the brake drum, and the tire and wheel assembly. Then you need to adjust the brakes and lower the vehicle.

After lubricating the brake shoe backing plate, the adjusting screw threads, the socket, and the socket face, you can install the adjusting screw assembly and the adjusting screw spring on the brake shoes. Then you can install the brake shoes, the strut spring, the park brake strut, the actuator lever, and the lever pivot. After that, you need to install the actuator lever return spring, the hold-down pins, the hold-down springs, the brake shoe guide, the brake shoe return springs, the brake drum, and the tire and the wheel assembly. Then you can adjust the brakes and lower the vehicle.
