2001 Buick Regal Throttle Body

You can remove the injector sight shield, the left instrument panel sound insulator, the accelerator cable, the accelerator cable cover tangs, push the accelerator cable cover tangs, the accelerator cable from the retaining clip, the accelerator cable from the throttle body lever, the accelerator cable from the accelerator cable bracket, and the accelerator cable from the vehicle and verify routing for installation.

You can install the accelerator cable into the vehicle using routing verified during removal, the accelerator cable through the bulkhead, the snap retainer into the bulkhead, connect the accelerator cable, seat the snap retainer in the accelerator pedal lever, the accelerator cable to the throttle body lever, the accelerator cable to the accelerator cable bracket, install the accelerator cable into the retaining clip, the left instrument panel sound insulator, and the injector sight shield.

You can remove the fuel injector sight shield, disconnect the electrical connector from the idle air control valve, remove the idle air control valve attaching screws, the idle air control valve, and the idle air control valve O-ring.

The recommended torque is 3 N.m (27 lb in).

You can install the new idle air control O-ring, the idle air control valve in the throttle body, the idle air control valve attaching screws, the idle air control valve harness connector, the engine and allow the engine to reach operating temperature, and the fuel injector sight shield.
