You can disconnect the battery negative cable, remove the Starter motor brackets and shields, disconnect the wires from the starter solenoid, remove the bolts and the shims (if present) from the starter motor, and the starter motor from the engine.

The recommended torque is 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).
Q: How do you remove the steering wheel module?

You can disable the SIR system. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Turn the steering wheel 90 degrees Remove a screwdriver into each access hole and push the leaf spring. Turn the steering wheel 180 degrees. Insert a screwdriver into the remaining access holes and push the leaf spring. Disconnect the SIR lead wire, the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) retainer, and the electrical connector. Remove the inflator module.
