Q: How do you remove the muffler?
A:
You can loosen the exhaust pipe clamp that retains the exhaust pipe to the front of the muffler, if applicable, remove the retaining nuts from the front muffler flange, loosen the exhaust pipe clamp that retains the tailpipe to the rear of the muffler, if applicable, remove the hangers from the exhaust system, as required, the muffler from the vehicle.

The recommended torque is 70 Nm (52 ft. lbs.).

01/11/2022Q: How do you install the muffler?
A:
You can install the muffler from the vehicle, install the hangers to the exhaust system and tighten the exhaust pipe clamp that retains the exhaust pipe to the front of the muffler. Install the new gasket and retaining nuts to the front muffler flange, tighten the nuts, and tighten the exhaust pipe clamp that retains the tailpipe.
