Q: How do you remove the steering wheel module?
A:
You can disable the SIR system. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Turn the steering wheel 90 degrees Remove a screwdriver into each access hole and push the leaf spring. Turn the steering wheel 180 degrees. Insert a screwdriver into the remaining access holes and push the leaf spring. Disconnect the SIR lead wire, the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) retainer, and the electrical connector. Remove the inflator module.

Q: How do you install the steering wheel module?
A:
You can install the electrical connector, the CPA retainer, the SIR lead wire, and the inflator module onto the steering wheel and press the module into the retaining tabs. Rotate the steering wheel back into the straight position. Enable the SIR system.

Q: How do you remove the instrument panel module?

You can disable the SIR system, remove the passenger knee bolster, and the connector Position Assurance (CPA). Disconnect the inflatable restraint IP module pigtail connector. Remove the inflatable restraint IP module mounting fasteners, and the inflatable restraint IP module.

A:
You can install the inflatable restraint IP module and the inflatable restraint IP module mounting fasteners. Connect the inflatable restraint IP module pigtail connector. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA), and the passenger knee bolster. Enable the SIR system.
