The removal procedure is to disconnect the negative battery cable, then clean all the fuel pipe and hose connections and the surrounding areas, drain the fuel tank to a level below that of the fuel filler tube, next remove the fuel filler tube and raise the vehicle, then disconnect the fuel fill hose, remove the fuel fill hose and the hose clamps, cap the fuel tank opening.

Besides, the fuel injector is serviced as a complete assembly only. What's more, since the injectors are electrical components, these injectors should not be immersed in any type of liquid solvent or cleaner as damage may occur.
