Q: What should be noticed in removing Front Wheel Bearing?
A:
You can not spin the wheel bearings with compressed air to dry them-the wheel bearings may be damaged.

Q: How do I adjust the Front Wheel Bearing?
A:
You should raise the vehicle, remove the retainer cap, remove the cotter pin, back off the nut one flat, and measure the endplay in the hub/rotor. This measurement should be between 0.013-0.20 mm (0.0005-0.008 inch) when properly adjusted and you should install the retainer cap and lower the vehicle.

Q: What should be cautioned in installing Front Wheel Bearing?
A:
You should place the hub/rotor on the J 9746-02. Rest this assembly on the press bars, press the outer bearing race into position and remove the J 9746-02, and use a 7.6 cm (3 inch) diameter bar, or equivalent, to press the inner bearing race into position. If the bar is larger than 7.6 cm (3 inches), the bar may damage the bearing seal seat.
