A:
You should release the park brake, raise the vehicle and support the vehicle with safety stands, remove the cotter pin and the clevis pin, disconnect the clevis and the grommet, remove the cable and disconnect the grommet and the retaining fingers and remove the cable assembly.

You should release the parking brake, raise the vehicle, loosen the adjusting nut at the equalizer, remove the connector, disconnect the cable, bend in the retaining fingers at the frame bracket and disconnect the front cable.

A:
You should remove the clevis pin, set the parking brake by pushing the pedal down 18 degrees, install J 35999 with a small length of cable or chain, and a tightening device (like a turnbuckle) on, the frame, install a small chain, turn the clevis, install the clevis pin, remove J 35999 and all extensions used, release the parking brake and rotate the drum to assure there is no drag.
