You can align the rear compartment latch to the marks made on the rear compartment, install the rear compartment latch nuts, connect the electrical connectors and close the rear compartment.

You can align the rear compartment lid lock striker to the rear compartment body panel, install the rear compartment lid lock striker bolts, install the outside striker bolts, close the rear compartment lid, open the rear compartment, install the rear compartment trim, install the rear compartment sill plate, close the rear compartment and install the rear license plate.

The procedure is to open the rear compartment, remove the rear compartment sill plate, pull back the rear compartment trim panel, remove the rear compartment lid lock striker bolt from inside the rear compartment, remove the rear license plate, remove the rear compartment lid lock striker bolts through the access hole and remove the rear compartment lid lock striker.

You can open the rear compartment, mark the location of the rear compartment latch, disconnect the electrical connectors, remove the nuts that retain the rear compartment latch, and remove the rear compartment latch.
