You can install the new strainer, support the reservoir with one hand and grasp the strainer with the other hand, install the fuel sender assembly, tighten the fuel fill cap, connect the negative battery cable, inspect for fuel leaks and install the fuel injection sight shield.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the fuel pump pickup filter?
A:
The procedure is to relieve the fuel system pressure, remove the fuel sender assembly, note the strainer position, support the reservoir with one hand and grasp the strainer with the other hand, pry the strainer ferrule off the reservoir and discard the strainer.
