FAQ for Door Moldings Repair
Q: How do you remove the adhesive body side molding?
A:
You can remove all adhesive from the body panel and the back of the molding, wash the affected panel area, remove all traces of adhesive from the body panel and the back of the molding, mark the proper position of the molding, warm the body panel, apply a piece of double-coated foam tape, 3M(TM) P/N 06382 Gray or equivalent to the molding, align the molding to the tape guideline on the body panel, peel the backing from the end of the molding, press firmly into place and hand roll the molding to the body.

01/11/2022Q: How do you loosen the adhesive body side moldings end?
A:
You can wash the affected area with soap and water and wipe it dry, apply a length of masking tape as a molding guide, apply the adhesive to the back of the molding, and press it in place.
