The Nissan Rogue is a small-sized compact crossover SUV that was announced by Nissan in October 2007 and was available in 2008. The model was similar to the X-trail, which was sold only in North America, the Qashqai, which used to be sold in Europe and the Dualis sold in Japan and Australia. In November 2007, the first full month of sales, Nissan Rogue ranked third among Nissan models, with the Altima sedan and coupe and the Sentra in first and second place. 5,650 units were sold in total during the month. U.S. News & World Report ranked the rogue 12th in its 2009 Affordable Small SUVs report for its safety. Safety equipment includes front airbags, side-impact airbags, side window airbags, rollover sensors, tire pressure monitoring, ABS with additional brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution, traction control system, and anti-skid control. For the 2022 model year, a powertrain update was provided for the Nissan Rogue. The 2.5-liter PR25DD four-cylinder engine was replaced by a 1.5-liter KR15DDT three-cylinder turbocharged one, which produces more power with more efficiency. According to statistics, the power is 201 hp (150 kW; 204 PS) and 225 lb·ft (305 N·m; 31.1 kg·m) of torque. The Xtronic CVT transmission was also updated, giving the CVT a 17% higher gear ratio spread and at the same time reducing 32% of internal friction.
