About Nissan Pathfinder
The Nissan Pathfinder is a series of sport utility vehicles manufactured by Nissan began in 1985. It was originally sharing the brand's compact pickup truck platform and has now come to its fifth generation. There were parallel models sold outside North America before 2004, but the Pathfinder nameplate was used worldwide later, replacing the R51 series. The fifth-generation was launched in 2021.
The first-generation Nissan Pathfinder was first introduced as a two-door body-on-frame SUV, sharing its appearance and parts with the same brand's Hardbody truck. Based on a ladder-type frame, the Pathfinder served as Nissan's response to its competitors. A facelift was given to the vehicle in 1990 with the 4-door version introduced. The front grille was revised, and an array of interior trim level options was offered, together with numerous exterior packages. Two more facelifts were available in 1997 and 2003.

The second-generation Nissan Pathfinder was released in late 1995 with a revised styling using a unibody instead of the previous body-on-frame construction. The engine shifted to the 3.3L VG33E V6, with 168 hp (125 kW) and 196 lb-ft (266 N·m) torque, and later to the 3.5L VQ35DE V6. Several diesel types were also available. At the 2004 North American International Auto Show, Nissan unveiled a completely redesigned Pathfinder based on the Dunehawk Concept presented a year ago. The new vehicle used a 4.0L VQ40DE V6 engine generating 266 hp (198 kW), 288 lb-ft (390 N·m), or a 2.5L YD25DDTi Turbo Diesel producing 126 kW (171 PS; 169 hp), 403 N·m (297 lb-ft).
The fourth generation Nissan Pathfinder was officially on sale in October 2012, using a unibody design. It had an interior similar to other vehicles, as well as some more SUVs and sedans. The third row also had more legroom. The model received an update in 2014 including a series of improvements to the packages and engines. A hybrid version was also available. The fifth-generation Nissan Pathfinder was released on 4 February 2021, still with the same platform and construction frame, but the dimensions have been enlarged. It was also installed a new terrain-management system, featuring 7 management settings, accompanied by the trailer sway control as a standard.
