About Nissan GT-R
The Nissan GT-R was manufactured and marketed by Nissan. It had its debut at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show after researching and developing for over 5 years. It is performed in two types, a high-performance sports car, and a grand tourer. Being the successor of the Skyline GT-R, the Nissan GT-R shares nothing more with the Skyline model lineup for it is now turned into the field of Nissan's luxury sport vehicles. A Nissan PM platform is adopted to produce the model. This platform is exclusively self-developed by Nissan and is the result of the evolution of the old Nissan FM platform. The use of the PM platform differed the manufacture of the Nissan GT-R from the Nissan Skyline luxury car and the Nissan Z sports car.
The Nissan GT-R is all-wheel drive. The engine parts for the model were a 3.8L twin-turbo 6-cylinder VR38DETT V6 with a 6-speed BorgWarner dual-clutch transmission. During the years, the output slowly grew from 480 horsepower in 2007 to 565 horsepower now. The power system enables Nissan GT-R to run 11.6 seconds for a quarter-mile, beating vehicles in the same market section for better performance. It is also offered in 2 trim levels, the Base model and the Premium model. Only the Premium level left after 2010. Both models have standard Nissan GT-R parts including power front seats, automatic climate control system, Brembo brakes, 6-speaker CD/MP3 sound system, keyless ignition or entry, satellite radio, and a set of 20-inch alloy wheels. The Premium gets extra heated front seats, an 11-speaker Bose audio system, and tires that have better performance. Customers can also choose the Dunlop all-season tires for their models.

In 2011, the model received a big upgrade. Most importantly, the transmission is replaced by a 6-speed dual-clutch automated-manual one to collaborate better with the powering system. Other Nissan GT-R parts also received changes. The suspension was advanced by adding Bilstein shocks for better control abilities and comfort. Real-time traffic and weather alerts can be shown on the navigation system. The wheelbase of the model is kept at 2780mm since the debut.
The Nissan GT-R presents itself as one of the fasted performance cars in its field for more than a decade. The parts received small adaptions, but no big changes were made since its debut. The model received satisfying scores in quality tests and the honor of the 2009 International Car of the Year and the 2009 World Performance Car.
