About Nissan 240SX
The Nissan 240SX was marketed by Nissan to the North American market for the 1990 model year 1989. It was a 2-door sport compact car. Its appearance replaced the model of the Nissan 200SX. By adopting a Nissan S platform for production, the Nissan 240SX model was more similar to the Silvia model or the 180SX model instead of 240Z or 280ZX though the name sounded much alike. The initial engine parts were a 2.4L inline 4-cylinder engine which could produce 140 horsepower with a 4-speed automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual one. The assembly lines were put in Kanda, Fukuoka in Japan.
The Nissan 240SX had 2 types of models which all acquire the sporting advantage of being a rear-wheel-drive for the first generation. The hatchback version of the Nissan 240SX was offered in a base model, a SE-trim-level model, and a LE-trim-level model. The coupe version offered one more XE-trim-level model than the hatchback. All variants of all levels all shared the same body structure features in the front, including a sloping front and pop-up headlights. This shard feature also differs the model from the alike Silvia model with fixed headlights. The versions also shared the same chassis, so it would not be surprising to find many common parts in them.

The Nissan 240SX had an update to the second generation in 1994 for the 1995 model year. Only the coupe version was left after the adaption. The vehicle was given a wider wheelbase with a growth of 2 inches. The pop-up headlights which used to be its feature were also removed and were replaced with fixed lamps. For the interior, many detailed designs were changed, including changing the automatic seatbelts into manual ones, and removing the cupholders for more operation space while keeping the general layout the same. The wheels were changed into a set of 15-inch ones with a softer suspension. The rear sway bar was removed. Before getting discontinued in 1998, the model received a final minimum upgrade two years earlier with new parts like projector headlights, fenders, revised taillights, and a center controlling panel. OEM parts of the Nissan 240SX can be ordered if anyone wishes for the upgrade driving experience.
The Nissan 240SX is able to provide customers with ample power at a low cost. Its light weight enables it to have a better drifting experience. The Nissan 240SX made such a great hit and countless video games had the model featured in them, including Forza Motorsport and Midnight Club.
