About Mitsubishi Lancer
Mitsubishi Lancer is a subcompact car or compact car manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors in Japan since 1973 and has other names in different countries. The Lancer has lasted for eight generations. The Japanese market stopped selling in 2010, and the global market stopped selling in August 2017, and only Taiwan and China are left to continue manufacturing and selling with a slightly modified appearance. The model was first aimed to fill the gap in the compact car segment and achieved great success worldwide.
The first generation Mitsubishi Lancer was officially launched in February 1973, with front and rear drive and two body styles: two and four-door sedan. There were three types of engines, including 1.2L inline four-cylinder OHV 4G42, 1.4L inline four-cylinder OHV 4G33, and 1.6L inline four-cylinder SOHC 4G32, and they were divided into a series of classes. Partial changes were made in September of the same year, with all models adding rear trim panels on the exterior, the 1600GSL class being changed to a four-door, and the addition of the two-door 1600GSR, which later became a popular model for rally competition vehicle sources. A five-door station wagon was also added, and this model continued to be produced until February 1985 due to compliance with automotive emission standards in a later minor revision.

In March 1979, the second generation Mitsubishi Lancer was introduced, with larger body size and the name changed to the Lancer EX, and with the body style of a four-door sedan only. In 1980, a 1.8L engine was added to the option, and a 2.0L turbocharged version in 1981. In 1988, the third-generation Mitsubishi was released, parallel to the fourth generation but different in some electronic devices, and although the original five-door model was called a "sedan", it was essentially a hatchback. The model received two minor changes respectively in 1989 and 1990. Our parts can differ the slight changes and they are from the original industry. The fifth went on sale in 1992. For this Mitsubishi Lancer, the front-wheel drive is the most common version, while some models will come with an all-wheel drive. Engines are available in 1.3L or 1.8L and 1.6L naturally aspirated gasoline inline fours, 1.8L or 2.0L turbocharged versions, and 1.8L or 2.0L diesel drives. The sixth-generation Mitsubishi Lancer was released in 1995 and the 1.6L engine was shifted to the 1.8L version. The seventh-generation Mitsubishi Lancer was launched in 2000, using the INVECS-III CVT transmission for the first time. And in 2005, the eighth-generation Mitsubishi Lancer debuted at the Tokyo Auto Show, but the official production began in 2007.
