About Mitsubishi Endeavor
The Mitsubishi Endeavor was a mid-size crossover SUV that was manufactured and marketed by Mitsubishi Motors. The production started in 2003 and was discontinued in 2011. The assembly lines for the SUV were at the MMNA in Normal, Illinois. It adopted a PS platform for production. The Endeavor was one of the first vehicles to be exported directly to other markets without being revised or compromised. The inspiration for the design of the Endeavor could be traced back to the Mitsubishi SSU. The prototype model was given a 2.5L 6A13TT turbo V6 which allowed the engine to produce 305 horsepower. It was paired with a full-time all-wheel-drive layout and a 5-speed automatic transmission.
The Mitsubishi Endeavor was given a 3.8L 6G75 V6 that could produce 215 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque for its powertrain. Other parts of the drivetrain included a 4-speed automatic transmission and an optional all-wheel-drive layout. The engine output was lifted to 225 horsepower in 2004. Another upgrade for the same engine came in 2011. The Endeavor was able to lift the torque to 225 lb-ft this time. The Endeavor had a 108.3-inch-long wheelbase. It was 190.2 to 190.8 inches in length and 73.6 inches in width. The height was 69.6 to 70.2 inches.

The Mitsubishi Endeavor was given standard parts and accessories that included daytime running lamps, a tire-pressure monitoring system, side airbags, and advanced dual-stage front airbags. The SUV was offered in 3 trim levels, the LS, the XLS, and the Limited. The levels differed from each other for different parts and accessories along with special kits. The dealers could choose from a large number of equipment pieces for their purchase. The XLS model was able to get a new anti-theft system for its parts. In 2006, the XLS was discontinued, and the rest received restyled parts and accessories like a redesigned front end. The interior had new accents. Other functional parts and accessories were also added including antilock brakes and traction control for all 2-wheel-drive models.
The SE trim replaced the Limited for the 2001 model year. This brought another wave of upgrades to the Mitsubishi Endeavor. New parts and accessories were added including a new navigation system and a lifted Rockford Fosgate audio system. The SE had additional parts in 2008 including leather seats that had the front seats heated, and special two-tone leather upholstery. The traction control became a standard part of all Mitsubishi Endeavor models.
