About Mercedes-Benz SLK230
"SLK" represent the mission the Mercedes-Benz design team had with this car, to create a Sportlich Leicht Kurz (Sporty Light Compact) Roadster. An SLK 200 was sold exclusively to Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Turkey, and Greece. The rest of the world had the choice between the SLK200 or the flagship Mercedes-Benz SLK230.
The Mercedes-Benz SLK230 was a variant of the R170 SLK-Class that debuted for the 1997 model year. The SLK230 was fitted with a Mercedes' M111.973 engine, which was a 2.3L supercharged inline-four. This engine produced 190hp in 2001. It boosted power to 195hp. Both engines were paired to a manual or automatic transmission options which sent power to the rear wheels. Production of the R170 SLK230 ended in 2004 when the model series was discontinued. A total of 102,754 cars were built.

The entry-level Mercedes-Benz SLK200 Roadster has a 2.0L supercharged inline-4 that can make 189 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque. The five-speed cruises to 60 in 7.7 seconds. The upgraded Mercedes-Benz SLK230 had a 2.3L I4 that was also supercharged but made one additional horsepower (190) and a total of eight more pound-feet of torque (207). The interior leaves little to be desired for a car from its time. Soft leather materials can be found on most surfaces, and the center console had various options to choose from, including wood paneling. There's no backseat to carry light bags and the trunk is overtaken by the large convertible top. Some exterior accessories and aftermarket parts of Mercedes-Benz SLK230 can also be replaced. If you want to get the aftermarket parts like suspension parts, brake parts, exhaust parts, electrical parts, etc., and accessories, including interior accessories and exterior accessories, you can purchase them on the Internet.
