About Mercedes-Benz 300SE
The Mercedes-Benz 300SE was a full-size luxury car model manufactured and marketed by Mercedes-Benz. The model was introduced to the market in 1961 and was discontinued in 1967. It was also known as the Mercedes-Benz W112 and was available for different body types including coupe, convertible, sedan, and stretched sedan. All models from the Mercedes-Benz 300SE had similar parts and accessories to the W111 automobiles for taking the predecessor's chassis and coachwork as a basis.
The Mercedes-Benz 300SE was able to have more chrome and luxury parts and accessories for the model. These added pieces included air suspension, standard automatic transmission with an optional manual one, and power steering. The engine was given a 2996 cc M189 inline 6-cylinder one. The powertrain system could produce 160 horsepower and reach a top speed of 180 km/h. The powering system had a facelift in 1964 by having the output of the engine raised to 170 horsepower and the top speed of the vehicle to 190 km/h.

The sedan type of the model was smaller than its sedan siblings. To make up the gap, a long-wheelbase version of the automobile was offered in 1963 with the name adding an L to the end. The L represented Lang which is the German word for long. The 300SE sedan had won several rallies and also entered the international and European Touring Car challenges. The coupe type of the 300SE had a more modern and elegant taste than its predecessor. The new design parts and accessories made the vehicle more popular.
