About Mazda CX-9
The Mazda CX-9 is a mid-size crossover SUV manufactured and marketed by Mazda at the 2006 New York International Auto Show. The assembly lines of the CX-9 are at the Ujina #1 plant in Hiroshima Prefecture. The model is not sold in the Japanese domestic market. The shorter and narrower version, the CX-8, has its place for Japanese dealers. A Ford CD3 platform was initially adopted for production and was shared with other automobiles including the Lincoln Zephyr, the Ford Fusion, and the Mercury Milan. The Mazda CX-9 has a wagon-like appearance though it is an SUV. It has a performance that is above the average of its segment. For a premiered version of the vehicle, an optional all-wheel-drive layout is offered.
The Mazda CX-9 was first given a 3.5L Ford MZI V6 that could provide 263 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque for the power system parts. Other parts of the powertrain system included a 6-speed automatic transmission. The V6 engine was later upgraded to a 3.7L version of the same type. The new capacity allowed it to give 274 horsepower and 366 lb-ft of torque. Standard Mazda CX-9 parts for security included a backup camera, roll stability control, electronic stability control, blind-spot monitoring, front side impact airbags, and three-row side curtain airbags. The interior and exterior parts and accessories of the Mazda CX-9 received a facelift in 2010. It was given a new front fascia. Additional parts and accessories like the three-zone climate control and a Bluetooth hands-free interface were added for a better quality of the customer experience. A new grille and new headlights were installed in 2013 as a second facelift for the first generation occurred. The restyled front vents were redesigned with the effect of the Kodo design philosophy.

The second generation of the Mazda CX-9 was introduced to the market at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show for the 2016 model year. A new Skyactiv platform was adopted for the production lines. New Mazda CX-9 parts and accessories came along with the new generation. The replacement of the former engine was taken by a 2.5L Skyactiv-G PY-VPTS turbo inline 4-cylinder petrol. When paired with other parts, such as a 6-speed Skyactiv-Drive automatic transmission, it could produce 227 horsepower with 87 octane fuel and 250 horsepower with premium fuel along with 310 lb-ft of torque. The new exterior design enhanced the Kodo philosophy by restyling accessories to pair up the design. The body structure was made shorter but with a longer wheelbase. This caused the Mazda CX-9 to have shorter front and rear overhangs. If replacement of the equipment pieces and accessories is needed during maintenance, customers could also go online to find OEM parts for better quality.
