About Kia Stinger
The Kia Stinger is a mid-size or compact executive liftback developed and sold by Kia since 2017. Its origin could be dated back to the GT concept from the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show as well as the Kia GT4 Stinger at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, and its official debut was at the 2017 North American International Auto Show. The car was tested respectively at the Korea International Circuit and the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
A normal Kia Stinger was equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder or a 3,342 cc (3.3 L; 203.9 cu in) twin-turbo V6 engine respectively generating 188 kW (255 PS; 252 hp) and 272 kW (370 PS; 365 hp) at 6,000 rpm. In Europe and Korea, the model was offered a base 2.2-liter CRDi diesel I4 engine producing 149 kW (202 PS; 199 hp) of power. The transmission was a unified 8-speed A8LR1/A8TR1 automatic and could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.7, 6, and 4.9 seconds respectively. The Kia Stinger has received an update in August 2020, including revised headlights and taillights, a new 10.25 inches infotainment screen, and an additional wheel design. 2.5L Smartstream FR G2.5 T-GDi engine was offered for option, producing 304 PS (224 kW; 300 hp) of power and a variable exhaust to the 3.3L Lambda II RS T-GDi one, increasing 3 PS (2.2 kW; 3.0 hp) in power. The update for the British market was unveiled in January 2021, that of the North American model was in March, and that of Mexico was in May, available with the new Kia logo. The vehicle appeared in the show June 2021, in which the judges of America Got Talent were in two Kia Stinger GT2 2022.
