The Rio 5 is a compact model of Kia. It was in production from 2006 to 2012. The Rio 5 (US) was offered in a simple SX trim level with a leather-covered steering wheel. As with the first generation, some European markets only offered a five-door hatchback version. It was available with a choice of three engines. They are a 1.6-liter DOHC engine with 110 hp (82 kW), a smaller 1.4-liter version with 96 hp (72 kW), and a 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine with 109 hp. Only the 1.6-liter gasoline engine is available in the U.S. market. It has two body styles: a four-door sedan and a five-door hatchback.
In 2008, Kia offered the Rio 5 in LX interior trim level. And it is equipped Rio 5 SX Tuner model with Falken FK452 tires, Tanabe strut towers, and Eibach Federn lowering springs.
