About Jeep Gladiator
The Jeep Gladiator was unveiled on November 28, 2018, at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It went on sale in spring 2019. The Jeep Gladiator was built on the same platform as the Wrangler JL and was the company's first pickup model since the Comanche ceased production in 1992. A pickup version of the Scrambler was introduced at the 2003 North American Dealers Association show. The 2005 Jeep Gladiator concept has no removable roof. But it has removable doors and a trunk. It is also a preview of the next Wrangler. The concept was powered by VM Motor's 3.0L common rail diesel engine. It was equipped with a manual gearbox and four-wheel drive. It had rear doors and functional rear seats. The Jeep Gladiator Concept had a green and gray body and interior.
One of the grille openings also houses a front camera. It displays an image of the immediate environment in front of the car on a touchscreen. This function requires one of the two large U Connect touchscreens. It facilitates off-road maneuvers, such as crossing water and climbing over objects such as tree trunks and rocks. The Off-Road Pages app appears on the dashboard display. It allows the Jeep Gladiator driver to view approach and departure angles, turning angles, and more. The Jeep Gladiator's only engine was a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 gasoline engine at launch. It was equipped with a variable valve timing system and produced 285 hp. However, starting in 2021, a turbocharged EcoDiesel V6 engine was available as an option. The EcoDiesel engine was available on all Jeep Gladiator trim levels. For the 2021 model year, the Jeep Gladiator with automatic transmission was also available with the V6 Pentastar engine.
