About Jaguar XKR
The Jaguar XKR was a supercharged version of the XK series models. It was manufactured and marketed by the British multinational automobile manufacturer Jaguar from 1998 to 2006. The XKR was a grand tourer that was provided in two different body types, a 2-door coupe, and a 2-door convertible. The assembly lines for the model were in Coventry, England. It adopted a modified version of the Jaguar XJS platform for its products and front-engine rear-wheel-drive layout.
Being known as the supercharged variant of the XK8, the XKR was given a more powerful engine for the powering system. It was a 4.0L Aj26S supercharged V8. It was given a 5-speed automatic transmission. The parts together could produce 370 horsepower at 6150 rpm and 387 lb-ft of torque at 3600 rpm. The top speed of the XKR was limited to 250 km/h. The coupe version of the model could accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h in 5.4 seconds while the convertible could reach 5.6 seconds. Other parts for the engine included a modified air-to-water intercooler and a two-piece drive shaft.

The Jaguar XKR shared most of the design parts and accessories with the XK8. However, it did have parts and accessories of its style. These revised pieces included a small rear spoiler, a meshed front grille, and hood louvers on the bonnet for improving the new engine's airflow. The Jaguar XKR received additional kits in 1999. The optional R kit had parts and accessories including a stiffer suspension system and gold-coloring wheels. In 2000, the vehicle received an optional GPS system.
The Jaguar XKR had a lift in performance in 2004. The powertrain was enlarged to 4.2L. The transmission was replaced by a 6-speed automatic. The output was lifted to 400 horsepower at 6100 rpm and 553 lb-ft of torque at 3500 rpm. The top speed had the same limit causing the acceleration to be kept the same as well.
