About Jaguar XK8
The Jaguar XK8 was a grand tourer that was manufactured and marketed by Jaguar. It was the first generation of the new XK series of the company. The XK8 was available in two body types, a 2-door coupe, and a 2-door convertible. The production of the vehicle started in 1997 and was discontinued in 2003.
The Jaguar XK8 was later joined by the upgraded XKR models which had better performance. The XK8 was given a 4.0L 32-valve Jaguar AJ-V8 for the powering system parts. A 5-speed automatic gearbox was paired with the powertrain. With the parts together, the XK8 was able to receive an output of 290 horsepower at 6100 rpm and 290 lb-ft of torque at 4250 rpm. The top speed for the coupe version could reach 251 km/h while the convertible could reach 248 km/h. They could also accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h in 6.7 and 7 seconds.

Standard parts and accessories for the Jaguar XK8 included a new Computer Active Technology Suspension, additional light-sensitive headlamps, and an automatically dipping rear view mirror. In 2002, the Jaguar XK8 had a facelift in performance by raising the engine to 4.2L. Other parts and accessories were also updated including an additional clear lens for the front headlamps, new exterior colors, and different wheel badging. In 2004, more improvement was done with new designs of the wheels, the grille, and bigger front and rear spoilers. The Jaguar XK8 had a standard set of 17-inch alloy wheels. Other sizes including 18-inch, 19-inch, and 20-inch could also be chosen by the dealers with extra cost.
The interior parts and accessories had a luxurious taste. It was provided with an all-leather style with burl walnut trim and side airbags. Customers could also choose from two trims with matching accessories, a sporty one and a classical one. The sport one had leather upholstery with cloth seats while the classical one had more luxurious optional parts and accessories with the heavy use of leather.
