About Isuzu Oasis
The Isuzu Oasis was a minivan that was marketed in the United States by Isuzu from 1996 to 1999. The Oasis was the only minivan model to be marketed by the company. It was introduced to the market as a rebadged version variant of the first generation of the Honda Odyssey. The Isuzu made an agreement with Honda to sell the Isuzu Rodeo and Trooper under the name of the Honda brands. In return for the agreement, Isuzu was able to sell the Odyssey, Domani, and Civics as the Oasis, Aska, and Gemini. This also caused the products of the Oasis to be manufactured by the original company. The assembly lines were at the Sayama plant in Japan.
The Isuzu Oasis had a front-engine front-wheel-drive layout. It was given a 2.2L F22B6 inline 4-cylinder engine for its powering system. The engine was paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The powering system could produce 140 horsepower. the Oasis was provided in two trim levels, the S and the LS. The parts and accessories for the two levels were different. The more basic S-level models were provided with 2 front seats, 3 middle seats, and 2 rear benches. The LS was given 6 seats including 2 captain's seats which were used to replace the middle bench. The middle of the seating arrangement was removable while the flat-folding rear one was able for extra interior cargo space. 4 featured conventional side doors were given to the Oasis as well. The model was also given many optional parts and accessories for safety considerations, including dual airbags and the all-disc anti-lock braking system.

In 1998, the Isuzu Oasis received a facelift in its performance. A new 2.3L dual-overhead-cam inline 4-cylinder engine was introduced to the powertrain family. The 4-speed automatic transmission became a piece of standard equipment for both engines. The new drivetrain was capable of producing 150 horsepower. Design for interior parts and accessories was also restyled. Revised parts and accessories included a modified dashboard, an additional tachometer, and the activated horn at the hub pad of the steering wheel. The Oasis welcomed another facelift in 1999. Only one trim level was available after the upgrade. Refinements for both the car's interior and exterior parts and accessories were made. Customers could choose new colors and new seating arrangements for their personal needs. The optional safety pieces were made standard parts for the new version.
