About Infiniti Q50
The Infiniti Q50 is a small car from the luxury brand Nissan. The Q50 is based on the 2009 Infiniti Essence and the 2011 Infiniti M. The Q50 was also Infiniti's first entry-level hybrid model, but its production will be discontinued for the 2019 model year. The Q50 sedan was introduced at the 2013 North American International Auto Show, followed by the 2013 Canadian International Auto Show, and went on sale in the United States in August 2013. The first models in Europe were the 2.2e and the hybrid version. Australian models went on sale in February 2014, initially with the 2.2d and 3.5 gasoline hybrid engines. Two special editions of the 2014 Infiniti Q50 were introduced in partnership with Gilt City. The vehicles went on sale online on December 13, 2013. A portion of the proceeds was donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The Infiniti Q50 Hybrid, introduced at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, features a 3.5-liter gasoline engine mated to an electric motor. Both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive were available on early European models. After the 2018 model year, Infiniti discontinued the Hybrid. The Eau Rouge, named after the famous corner at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, is a Formula 1-inspired concept car based on the model premium sports sedan. Its aerodynamic design and styling cues are inspired by Infiniti's collaboration with Infiniti Red Bull Racing. Changes include carbon fiber bodywork. Modifications to the Eau Rouge include the V6 Turbo engine from the Nissan GT-R, a 7-speed automatic transmission, and Infiniti Q70 intelligent all-wheel drive.
